This years event is unique and arguably one of the largest events Urban Circle has ever put on. Building upon an international partnership with Irits Alliance and the Rastafarian Indigenous village. It will become one of the first officially endorsed events for the 60sth Jubilee, commemorating Jamaicas Independence. In a collective effort to make for fairer co production the main aim for this festival is to protect the intangible culture and heritage that Reggae music is part of. A museum will be built at the festival as well as a genuine Rastafari village for all to see and explore and look further into. For stalls and sponsorship please contact events@ucnewport.co.uk
This project is funded primarily by Arts Council of Wales as well as backed by our long term partner University of South Wales and G Expressions and endorsed by Newport City Council and The National Trust.
